The Ottumwa/Wapello County Landfill is open Monday – Friday 7am – 4pm & Saturday 7am – Noon. Commercial Haulers and Contractors need to arrive at the Landfill no later than 15 minutes prior to closing time to allow Landfill employees time to comply with IDNR regulations. Residents may use the dumpsters, but all loads must be done and exiting the Landfill by 4:00 pm weekdays, and by Noon on Saturday.
